We are Legend

When Jesus called the twelve they never imagined what was in store for them. They couldn’t comprehend that that we would still be writing and reading about them 2000 years later, that we would still be telling their stories. They couldn’t fathom that their stories would be handed down from generation to generation, that grandparents would tell them to their grandchildren, that armies of monks would labor their entire lives to make sure that they could be faithfully preserved, so that the story of these twelve men and their rabbi would never be forgotten. Am I Assuming the Gospel?

The Gospel is the only thing that has the power to change lives. It is not a stepping stone to greater things, it is not the opening act to the Christian life, it is the Christian life. Romans tells us that the Gospel IS the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes. It is the greatest story ever told, and the greatest message in the history of mankind.
